Learn. Share. Grow. Girls Basketball

Best Things I’ve Heard Today…

I’m really lucky to be in the position I’m in. I get to do amazing things and learn from some of the best in basketball, male or female. Today I made it a point to be a “fly on the wall” and just take in as much information as possible. Big shout out to Tony Dorado and Ilene Hauser for pushing girls basketball to be better.

John Lucas and Sue Phillips are heading up the Nike Girls Skills Academy in Augusta, GA. We have a group of AMAZING coaches from high school to the pro’s. #LEGIT

Shotgun thoughts, concepts and ideas from today.

1. You want your guards to get touches and bigs to alter shots

2. Accountability = Team Quality

3. The best question you can ask is “why?” (in a respectful way of course)

Had a couple of Ex-Navy Seal’s come in an talk to the players as well.

Mark Donald –

Take your strengths and put them with a teammates weakness and make each other better. Team First. ALWAYS. Set the standard for the person next to you.

Robert Stock –

Vision. Strategy. Manage Emotions. FOCUSED ENERGY ON THE TASK AT HAND will get you through anything.

That’s all I have for today. Learn. Share. Grow. #GrowTheGame #GetBetter
